Out of the depths..

He chose the least to be the most. When the least become overcomers, God blesses them mightily…
Encouragement to those who feel they are losers.

Look forward to your new name when you overcome!

Revelation 2:17
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, to him I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and a new name written on the stone which no one knows but he who receives it. ’

My beloved and I were having a late brekkie and we were listening to my MOGS compilation which Dominic Muir and Michael Seraphim will recollect.
1. Love came down by Brian Johnson

2. the Poor and the Needy by Godfrey Birtill.

Completely undone and tearful as I was , The Lord reminded me of all those in need of His help and not recognising either Him or where He was.
Jesus came into the world for the salvation of the sinners.

Jacob was a conniving and bad man. The heel catcher snake. It is significant that Jesus in the New Testament was proud to be known as the God of Jacob who became Israel his beloved nation. It was Jacob whom He chose to give the name of His nation.

Acts 7:46
Who found grace (favor and spiritual blessing) in the sight of God and
prayed that he might be allowed to find a dwelling place for the God of Jacob.

Jacob was in danger of losing his life and in the most exposed place he found himself hiding, he was given the dream of a ladder ascending to Heaven right beside him.

We need to realise that Jesus is not even a stones throw away from us at any given moment. He is right beside us to help and save us from danger.

Then we need to realise that Jesus always chose the weak the poor and the needy to lead and come first.
Neither Abraham or Isaac were given the name Israel. Jacob who deserved nothing, was blessed.

Paul likewise on his realisation of his poverty and fallen state was lifted high.

1 Timothy 1:15
It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all.

Paul was inspired to speak this. He was the chief of sinners.

Look at Gods choice

Acts 9:15
But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen instrument of Mine, to bear My name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel;

Both Jacob and Paul were chosen instruments. Paul’s revelations from God were phenomenal. He wrote the most books/letters in the New Testament.
The book of Hebrews clearly spells God’s covenant through his Son with his people that includes everyone now.

It is through the Gentiles the least deserving, that the Jews will come to know the Messiah by the goodness that He has shown the Gentiles.

There is hope for us all.

Reverential fear of The Lord. Ask for forgiveness and repent, turn back towards Him.
Psalms 25:14 AMP

The secret [of the sweet, satisfying companionship] of the Lord have they who fear and revere and worship) Him, and He will show them His covenant and reveal them its [deep, inner] meaning.

Here is a beautiful psalm known as the De Profundis..

Hope in the Lord’s Forgiving Love.
A Song of Ascents.
Out of the depths I have cried to You, O Lord.
Lord, hear my voice!
Let Your ears be attentive
To the voice of my supplications.
If You, Lord, should mark iniquities,
O Lord, who could stand?
But there is forgiveness with You,
That You may be feared
I wait for the Lord, my soul does wait,
And in His word do I hope.
My soul waits for the Lord
More than the watchmen for the morning;
Indeed, more than the watchmen for the morning.
O Israel, hope in the Lord;
For with the Lord there is lovingkindness,
And with Him is abundant redemption.
And He will redeem Israel
From all his iniquities.

The Lord has just revealed to us that Paul is the New Testament revelation of the Old Testament Jacob….. Both His chosen.
