Perhaps that is why there is the expression ‘Dumb as an Ox’
Applicable to us as the baby Ox but not Jesus, one of whose faces is the Ox.
We continue not to listen to His Counsel when we know it is perfect. We kick back against the goads as He urges us on.
Apostle Paul received his first comment from The Lord in the form of a gentle chiding or perhaps an admonition.
14 We all fell to the ground, and I heard a voice saying to me in Aramaic, ‘Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’ (NIV)
He is the Door of Peace not restlessness.
We can release all concerns if we so choose.
When we feel weak, we can allow His power to come through us.
Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.
We need to Trust and take refuge in Him.
Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever.
