The consumed Body of Christ and the New Blood Covenant

More revvies on Communion and Praise and Thanksgiving

When we take Communion we are taking the ‘consumed by fire’ Body of Jesus. The Jewish Matzoh recipe specifically requires the singeing, browning and blistering of the baked bread and not the burning. We know that Jesus represented the burnt offering that replaced the cooked Lamb in the Passover meal. It’s as if they only got half the message. Which of course is the case. They believe there is a Messiah. Their error was not to have recognised Him when He arrived.
In the meantime feast on the living fiery Sacrifice of our Lord.
When Jesus died on the Cross the Blood flowed out of His Body into the earth with the water. This was when the Body and the Blood were divided.

At the Last supper He held up first, the bread, Manna from Heaven representing His Body.
His Body was the living sacrifice broken in pieces and given to us. It dealt with sin and death.
The wine representing His Blood as it separated from His Body was the new and everlasting covenant or will that is read at His death. It represented Life.
It had to be separated as an undertaker and embalmer does the same thing with us at death. If not the blood corrodes.
There is life in the blood as we know. Our bodies cannot function without blood.
Ergo that is why we have everlasting life from His Blood because He was resurrected.

Conclusion
If you don’t get blasted and anointed and refilled and renewed when you take Communion, you should be wondering if you are just going through the motions. Kris Valloton said he found himself doing this with the commissioning of 2000 bethel students. Bless him for his humility and honesty. We need to be ‘in the Now’ and ‘I Am’ when we take Communion as it’s a very intimate one-on-one face-to-face common union with our Saviour.

Till we meet again Lord in your Father’s Kingdom.

In the meantime the Kingdom is within us and strengthened by taking Communion regularly.

Matthew 26:29
But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.”

It will be a new Blood and new Body into which we fit.

Luke 17:20-21
The Coming of the Kingdom
Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”

The Kingdom within us is accessed by praise and thanksgiving.

David and Solomon were unquestionably mystics. They understood the spiritual world and what God was doing inside them.
David strengthened himself in The Lord his God. (1sam 30:6)

He knew where the Kingdom was: within him. The medium by which he entered God’s Kingdom was by praising and thanking God.

Psalms 100:4
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.

This strengthened his inner core. His mighty men and Solomon were taught and passed down the same principles.

2 Chronicles 1:1
Chapter 1

Now Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the Lord his God was with him and exalted him exceedingly.

Solomon was a type of Christ as son of David in the Old Testament and Jesus Son of David in the New Testament.
The Kingdom of God was within Solomon. Jesus told the Pharisees the same.
He was strengthened from within.
