Awesome God: Imitating Christ and how it affects the Universe

In this podcast Andrew explains how believing in an Almighty God and ‘imitating Christ’ can cause you to walk in wonders. The key is that YOU need to take the first step. He gives examples in this short clip of how you too are able to do the same things He does, even greater.

True belief always accompanies signs of some kind, and it’s our duty as the Bride of our Beloved to walk in them, so that we may demonstrate to the ‘unseeing’ believer the ‘seen’ power of the Most High God, the manifested Christ, and cause their hearts to be enraptured by His goodness. Walking in the Spirit is not just for Church attendance. It is for practical everyday use as well. It’s getting a revelation of how much we are like God and walk in the same power He does. This is NOT a ‘sensationalist’ world in which the gifts of the Spirit and the demonstration of God’s power died when the last apostle breathed his last breath. NO! They are as present with us now as they have ever been.

We serve an ‘Awesome God’ and as we take the step of faith out of our comfort zone, we will not be like the man ‘who forgot who he was when he turned away from beholding himself in the mirror’, but we will remember who we are in Him. We are not DOERS that need to establish our identity through miracles, but rather we demonstrate power because we have learnt our identities in Him, not in ourselves..

Matthew 3:17 NIV:

17 And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”

1 Cor 11:1 NIV:

11 Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.

1 Cor 2:4 NIV :

My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power,

James 1:22-25 NIV:

22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.

John 14:12 NIV:

12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.
