Intoxification: Physical or spiritual? Misery vs. joy

Jesus has provided the wine of the Holy Spirit to intoxify us. He makes us joyful, generous and full of fruits. He facilitates us to praise our God
The enemy who can only attempt to mimic with dangerous options , provides earthly alcohol to do the same thing.

One spiritual drink leaves us no hangover but shows us how to hang in and hang everything up on the broad shoulders of Christ.

The other in excess provides a hangover and regrets and need for detox.

Hanging in with the Holy Spirit keeps us from hanging out in bars and strip clubs.
Of course you can go in to these places but make sure you are intoxicated with the Holy Spirit first.

Genesis 49:11-12
“ He ties his foal to the vine,
And his donkey’s colt to the choice vine;
He washes his garments in wine,
And his robes in the blood of grapes.
“His eyes are dull from wine,
And his teeth white from milk.

This talks about Judah who ascends or goes up first above his enemy. We can only ascend in the Spirit. Judah means praise. Praise opens the ear to God. It brings discernment. It brings in The fullness of His Presence and there is joy in that fullness.

Psalms 16:11
You will make known to me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.

Acts 2:14-17
Peter’s Sermon
But Peter, taking his stand with the eleven, raised his voice and declared to them: “Men of Judea and all you who live in Jerusalem, let this be known to you and give heed to my words. For these men are not drunk, as you suppose, for it is only the third hour of the day; but this is what was spoken of through the prophet Joel:
And it shall be in the last days,’ God says,
‘That I will pour forth of MY Spirit on all mankind;
And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
And your young men shall see visions,
And your old men shall dream dreams;

When He pours out His Spirit, be ready for fun.
Chuckles giggles guffaws hysteria doubling up falling down. A heavenly grape source from the only Source.
Boom!
