How to be on Heylel’s Wanted a Dead or Alive List
Be a threat and fearless.
He laid down His Life for us
We have to lose our life for Him
For whoever would preserve his life and save it will lose and destroy it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he will preserve and save it [from the penalty of eternal death].
Sometimes we don’t know why we are losing our life for His sake but we know we must. We know it brings eternal life which at that moment often feels like eternity away. So far off it is not even a speck on the horizon
Imagine how Jesus felt, deserted in the Garden, at the whipping post and even on the cross. Only John the beloved was there. Everyone else cowered well away or hid among the crowd fearing to be exposed.
Sometimes we feel deserted, let down, compromised, lied about or lied to.
Even at the last He had only thoughts to include all those who were His enemies.
And Jesus prayed, Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. And they divided His garments and distributed them by casting lots for them.
When we lose our life for Him it comes packaged with forgiveness but immense favour.
We get gifts we don’t expect and often never get to do what we had wanted to do but His plans are greater.
