The devil and how to resist him. Who is our immune system?

When we get an allergy, the recommended antidote is anti histamine .

Why is that? Well in simple terms the histamine H1 immune defence neuro transmitters in your body have reacted to the attack of an enemy agent through inflammation, itching etc

We need the histamine red flag neuro transmitters to tell us to resist.

So histamine in our body is a good thing. Antihistamine is used to calm and repel and stop the inflammation.
First the physical then the spiritual. Haha

1 Corinthians 15:46

However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual.
God is supposed to be our ‘immune system’ in the spiritual sense.

If we don’t have Him in us, our souls and bodies are much easier to attack. Our immune system is very weak.

The Greek word for resist is ‘anthistēmi’. What a coincidence that it is the name of the antagonistic medicine base for all attacks. No!
G436

ἀνθίστημι

anthistēmi

anth-is’-tay-mee

From G473 and G2476; to stand against, that is, oppose: – resist, withstand.

Total KJV occurrences: 14
In order for God to be in us through His Son Jesus, we need to submit to Him. Cities and people when conquered by a King put up a white flag of submission.

So we need to do the same. When we do this we get protection and enemies flee!

James 4:7

Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
Jesus with His perfect obedience to His Father did exactly this in the desert when tempted by the devil. He submitted, He resisted and the devil departed.
Too much credit is given to the power of the devil and his involvement in our lives. But when he does try one of his pathetic attempts to harass us, here is the answer:-
With the ‘histamine’ warning system of God in us , the devil represented by the viral, invasive agent from outside, has to flee because the resistant ‘antihistamine’ we have in us, knocks out all of his effect. He disappears at speed from the rebound.
So God is my ‘histamine’ and ‘antihistamine’ is my answer to the devil. I will resist and you will flee.

If you are getting a lot of attacks it is probably because you need more God in you and be submitted more to Him, trusting in His almighty power, not that of the devil. The devil is defeated. He is under our feet.
