JudgementToday I could be caught out for not giving people the benefit of the doubt.
We can all look for a bad or good motive behind other people’s behaviour. We have the choice.
Yeshua is the only judge. Not even His Father judges.
For not even the Father judges anyone, but He has given all judgment to the Son, so that all will honor the Son even as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him
So we are warned by Him of the measure in which we judge and give thoughts and opinions will be the measure by which He judges us.
It is so important to react in a way that assumes positively not negatively about the reasons for someone’s action.
Cognitive negative thoughts breed negativity distrust and fear.
You see someone walking towards you on a bright day.
They don’t appear to notice you and despite your wave they pass by.
Now was it because they didn’t want to talk to you or because the sun was in their eyes? Assume the latter and you won’t feel offended.
“Do not judge, and you will not be judged; and do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; pardon, and you will be pardoned. Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.”
If we feel compelled to judge someone or people, let’s judge them with the scales weighted in their favour.
Give them the benefit of the doubt.
